Membership Drive

We are asking our Members and Visitors to help us increase MidrangeNews.com awareness; we are asking you to "talk up" MidrangeNews.com. The midrange community (the IBM i platform) is a very small community compared to all others. Isolation leads to lack of awareness of some very valuable information. We need your help in our effort to expand to the entire IBM i marketplace. Can you help us promote MidrangeNews.com through various channels?

Some suggestioned channels include:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Blogs (include replies to blog posts)
  • Local User Group Meetings (mention us)
  • National Professional Conferences, such as COMMON or IBM POWER Systems Conference

These are just a few of the ways you can help spread the word. For our Twitter, Facebook and Google+ users, we make it very easy. To the right of every article or Forum post we include an index page and Social Media Share links. It looks like this:

To share the currently viewed MidrangeNews.com page, click the icon to Tweet, Like, or G+ the page. These are direct links to those sites and the link back to MidrangeNews.com is filled in automatically. The +Share button can be used to link to most other social media sites.

We also provide a very easy way for you to get notified if an article is updated or has new comments; once each evening we send out email to every article's Followers. If you clicked the link on any article, when you view that article, the button should be changed to (a green check-mark next to it). If you are not following an article, simply click the  button and you'll receive notifications, nightly, only when something about that article has changed.

MidrangeNews.com Website Statistics

  • Over 2800 unique visitors/members for our site.
  • Between 300 and 500 unique visitors each day.
  • Just over 200 Professional (paid) memberships.

We are asking for your help in an effort to increase these numbers. What are you willing to do?

Thanks!
