Well it seems IBM has decided to give the AS/400 a new name. It is now called "PURE SYSTEMS" and seems to be identified as a "pureSystems" mark.

Previously the technically were called POWER SYSTEMS, (I think?) and that identifier was just barely starting to be picked up "POWER System model 720 with IBM i" was a mouth-full but no more that "MAC BOOK PRO with Mountain Lion".

I wonder if the folks in Michigan have issues with IBM plagiarizing their slogan? Visit pureMichigan.org for more information.

IBM's new entry into the drinking water purification market?

Well on the upside "pureSystems" is going to give more accurate search results on google than "i" does - tbh I still use AS400 primarily when googling stuff.

Okay, I got it wrong. It is PureSystems not pureSystems.

Looks kind of goofy the correct way... Undecided
