Good morning. I've recently received a Win7 laptop at work and I've been using WDSI Ver 6.0 on WinXP with my old laptop. Well, after loading all the CDs on my Win7 machine I'm seeing that it doesn't appear to be compatible.
I know, some of you have said that I should be using Rational Developer instead. I don't know if the company will spring for it, but I'd like to download a trial if that's possible.
Can someone let me know where I might be able to download it?
Thanks!
Ok, I think I found the site to download it, but which one??? I'm doing ILE RPG development. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Chris
We are using IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software Version 8.0.3
Brian
The latest version is 8.0.3.1
and it is now pay to play.
Yes, I'm on 8.0.3.x also and it does cost money (but it's worth it!). You can download it and use it for a while (60 days? 90 days? Can't recall.)
But even if you can't pay, you should at least be on WDSC 7!
You can download the Trial version from IBM Developer Works website.

I'd rather download a rational boss!
You know, Viking, I actually tried to install WDSCI7, but when it came up and I clicked on it to install, nothing happened. Did you experience that?
ChrisP, did you click "run as administrator"? Trying to remember back, but I think on W7 you need to do that. I did run WDSC7 on W7 without issues. RDP is better though!
