Using IBM i? Need to create Excel, CSV, HTML, JSON, PDF, SPOOL reports? Learn more about the fastest and least expensive tool for the job: SQL iQuery.
The iQuery.JOB_DATE() UDF returns the job date of the specified job or for the current job if no job ID is specified.
UDF | Return Type | Description |
JOB_DATE | DATE | The date for the job. This is the value specified for CHGJOB DATE() or the job date assigned when the job began. Note unlike the System Date, which changes at midnight, the JOB_DATE never changes unless it is changed by the CHGJOB command. |
iQuery.JOB_DATE( 'qualified-job-name', 'internal-job-ID' )
The optional Qualified Job Name parameter identifies the job whose date it returned. If no parameter is specified, then * (the current job's date) is returned. If the Internal Job ID parameter is specified, this parameter is ignored, and may be '*' or NULL.
The optional Internal Job ID parameter, if specified, contains the 16-byte internal job identification whose job date is to be returned. Note that if this parameter is specified, then the Qualified Job Name parameter is ignored.
Example
values iQuery.JOB_DATE() INTO :JOBDATE;
