I now have the happy pleasure of being able to work from home (in Florida) full time. Life is good. Except that my windows clients that connect to the iSeries in NJ keep dropping their connection after about 15 minutes of being idle. The internet connection and/or VPN connection don't drop, nor the iSeries green screen Emulation - just the Windows clients (RDi, AQT, SEQUEL Viewpoint, etc.). It's driving me nuts. I've looked in the ODBC connectors for time-out values or whatever, but nothing clicks. Any ideas or suggestions??
Seems Bob ran into this a few years back. Might be worth a look: http://www.midrangenews.com/view?id=1256&p=3, "Bob Cozzi's Client Access/RDi SetKeepAlive.exe".
The link there to get the SetKeepAlive.exe (Win 7) for download doesn't work.
Thanks for pointing that out. Dropbox.com really screwed up everybody by preventing access to links when they changed their policies. I’ll push it up to my own server and update this reply when it is ready.
