Can SEU be changed to recognize free-form? Published by: Chris Proctor on 06 May 2016 view comments(2)

Good morning

I use Rational, but a co-worker uses SEU, don't ask me why (lol) and he is trying to copy my code and use it for his app, but SEU does not recognize the full free-form (such as ctl-opt dcl-f, etc.). Is there anyway to make it so that SEU does recognize these opcodes?

Thanks!

SEU will still work, but IBM doesn't have any plans to enhance it to handle the new RPG syntax. Pretty sure you can change the options to turn off syntax checking, which would stop it from complaining, but I don't remember if that's for the current session only, or it saves it in your SEU options (by user).

That's what I thought. If he wants to use SEU I guess he'll have to deal with it. :-)

Thanks, Dale!
