DCL-DS for database fields to an array? Published by: Chris Proctor on 26 Aug 2015 view comments(2)

I'm just starting to use the freeform for F, D and P specs and I had a question. I have an input file that has 7 identical numeric fields that I would like to assign to an array to simplify processing, but I'm not sure how/if I can do that freeform. If you have a solution, I'd appreciate it. I really like the freeform.

Thanks!

Chris

If memory serves, the OVERLAY keyword is replaced with the POS keyword. So doing an array, probably need to look at the documentation for POS with DCL-SUBF.
