Hi all. Can someone please tell me where in the preferences for RDi I find the option to change the uppercase to lowercase where it automatically inserts the "END" for whatever command you just entered? I always spend so much time every time I install it! This is actually my first try with RDi, I've always been using Websphere.
I'm trying the trial version of RDi because we've FINALLY upgraded to v7r1 and I like all the new commands and WDSCI doesn't recognize them.
Anyway, if someone could direct me I'd appreciate it!
Chris
The answer I got when I asked IBM for this setting was "Go pound sand".
Really, Bob? I know they have the option in WDSCi. I've changed it many times, after hunting for an hour where to find it. That's strange that they would remove it. It also looks like the Ctl+K and Ctl+I don't work for upper/lowercasing anymore too, right?
So much for "enriching the experience". Lol
Thanks!
Chris, try going into the RDi app into preferences.
Chris if that image doesnt show, go to my website link at RedBeetle and goto contact and submit a request for more info and I'll send you an image of where the RDi preferences is for that END case issue is...

Window > Preferences > Remote Systems > Remote Systems LPEX Editor > IBM i Parsers > ILE RPG
The pane in the middle has a check box for 'Automatic closure of control block' and to the right of that is a dropdown for the style of closure.
This has been available as far back as I can remember; at least to WDSCi 7.
What is new (ish) is the ability to find this stuff with fewer mouse clicks through the navigation tree. In the filter box, type RPG and you'll see 3 hist. The middle one is the one you're looking for.
Thanks, everyone for the input. I found it! I knew it was there, just couldn't find it! Have a great week, everyone!
Thanks BUCK! I've been wishing for that since WDSc days.
