What kind of training advantage is there to in-person vs online? Published by: Bob Cozzi on 29 Sep 2014 view comments(1)

I'm wondering if IBM i technology people still go to in-person events, such as COMMON, or the various IBM sponsored events for training? How does this compare to using BING or GOOGLE for training along with the myriad online resources available here and on other websites?

Bottom line: Is in-person training still worth the ever-rising costs?

IMHO in person is better than online. Online is tough if you have questions etc. I still go to in-person events annually.

In person is not cheap, but would the company you work for rather save the costs & have uneducated staff? I find that education costs pay for themselves easily.
