FYI. They are now READ ONLY. Maybe midrangenews will get some more traffic.

What we need is for people to start mentioning midrangeNews.com on the other forums and in their social networks.
Seems like we are often used to mention other forums, websites, etc. but rarely seems like people promote or even mention us.
Also, I used to be at midrange news (mrn) a lot but not anymore. Once every few weeks to see what is new is all nowadays. Reasons:
- there's no proper working search facility on mrn
- there's not happening a lot lately on mrn...
While Bob could fix the former, the latter might be harder to tackle. Can it be a result of the paying member policy?
Fyi, I do not visit other rpg forums regularly, I was only a regular on mrn. Nowadays I google the keywords of my problem and take it from there. Unfortunatelly, mrn does not score high there.
I had the same on a cool 2e forum I used to be a regular visitor/contributor for many years. The forum changed to another site and I never found the old forum atmosphere there any more.
Paul, I agree, the search could be better. Just a side note on your suggestions:
The bottom line, I'm doing this out of the kindness of my heart, but there's the issue I mentioned in my reply--nobody promotes this site--so perhaps its time to put the baby to bed?
UPDATE: Wow, they've now fully shut down that IBM i related sites. That is all legacy News/34 content is now going offline, or "private" as they call it. Probably paid subscribers will continue to have access until their sub!--script--ion expires.
I collected all the News3X, SystemInews, even when it was News34-38. Up until the last year or so it contained some pretty interesting articles. It's kinda sad to see it go down. I guess the printed issues will be considered collector items. I still think Bob's Tuesday's tips were pretty awsome.
Sad day indeed. Glad I picked up some .Net skills. The 400 is great platform it's a shame.
They are also shutting down the magazine which for the last year was "digital" only (I pro developer was its last name).
The I Pro Dev forums seem to be back up and running.
Looks like iProDev shut down the forums again. You get redirected to a brand new forum with zero history carried forward, have to register again. Looks to mainly be a Windows forum. I think it'll die this time (the IBM i portion).
