Timeout on Reflection emulator Published by: Deepak Deshpande on 06 Jun 2013 view comments(1)

I have this emulator : Reflection for IBM for Windows NT Version 6.20

I used to access remote AS/400 using Telnet. After I switched my ISP, my session gets disconnected if it is idle even for 2-3 min. I checked QINACTITV and it is *NONE. I googled and found that KeepAlive PARM needs to be set. But all examples on Google were for Client Access, Mocha. I could not find any specific reference to Reflection (V 6.20).

Where can I set this PARM so that my connection does not drop every now and then?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Deepak

It is in the Windows Registry (probably) and possibly in the Reflection program's  .INI file.

To change the registry you can google that, or download my SetKeepAlive. It's purpose is to update Client Access .WS files, however it also changes the Windows Regristry. (There's a checkbox to say "Don't update .WS files" so it might fix you NT related timeout issue.
