I take variable lenght files and write them to a fixed length file, then I cpytoimpf.  i need for the streamfile to be variable lenghts not the fixed length.  how do i accomplish that?

Hi Jacquie,

First, this section is for complete articles not Q & A. So kindly repost in the "Submit New Topic" area.

There is a trim parameter on the CPYTOIMPF just be sure to include the RMVBLANK(*TRAILING) or *EOR and set the RCDDLM to RCDDLM(*CRLF)
