I had 2 legacy model 170's that were sitting in the garage for the few years. Tomorrow (Friday) is our community's annual "throw out anything" day, so I thought, why not dump them?

I placed them on the curb and went inside to get my camera to post a farewell photo here on midrangeNews.com and guess what... in that 45 seconds between leaving the curb and going inside to get the D7000, the scrap metal trollers, saw, drove to, picked up and drove away with both 170's.

Good thing when I ditched my original AS/400 Mode B10 about 3 years ago, I brought the camera out with me before hand. Undecided

Don't leave your car parked at the curb on "throw out anything" day or the scrap trollers might chop it up too...!

I remember last time about three-four years ago. You posted a nice picture that I used for a desktop picture for a while. Would like to have 'upgraded' from the B10 to the model 170 but I guess I have to wait for another three years for the next 'throw out anything day' to see what you'll park by the curb then...  :o)

I still have model 200 in the basement--the last of my "in house" system. Laughing

That 200 still has an accounting/GL package I wrote and I'm trying to decide if I should just "write it off" or try to resurrect it. Probably should have just thrown out the 200...
