Good article on DB2 i v6/v7 updates

There's an article on the updates to the database (aka DB2 for i) on the %systemname%magazine.com website by the DB2 architect.
What is important to me is the ability now to access DDM files using SQL via the ALIAS statement. So now I can avoid all that CONNECT TO crap between statements and access two database on different machines within the same SQL statement. This will be a wonderful feature (for me).
